It's for a very auspicious event that will occur in July,

also known as Bestest Best's wedding!

I lucked out and get to be a bridesmaid!

Birthday Loot

Shug was so sweet to surprise me with this Filson bag for my birthday...!  I've been coveting it for over a year to schlep my books around campus in high style.  I think it will be perfect for our trip to Europe this summer, too!  It's made of a super-thick waxed canvas that nary a pickpocketer's poky pocketknife could easily puncture.  The zipper will keep access to the treasures I find in Paris difficult to grab up, too.

Plus, if I ever go on safari, I'll fit right in!

2010 is looking up already...

Wouldn't you know that two of the most beautiful-amazing girls on the planet asked me to me one of their bridesmaids!

I can't believe how lucky I am to have such a wonderful summer to look forward to!

They both were bridesmaids for my wedding this past summer and made my and Shug's day all the more special.

Now just to get through the little details of school and winter...

So a few months ago, Shug and I found out about this. We have been rabid for tickets ever since. Unfortunately, we are but lowly Utahns that must purchase our Sundance tickets after all of the hoity-toities from Cali have had their pick of the festival.

We get to purchase tickets TODAY!! In t-minus 7 hours and 4 minutes....

Cross your fingers for us so we can get tickets to the opening screening!

This video was one of the first collaborations between Danny Perez, the director of ODDSAC, and Animal Collective...Judging by this, we are in for a crazy ride!

...Shug asked me to marry him!

It was the biggest surprise of my life.

And the best.

He was so thoughtful and sneaky when planning on how he was going to pop the question...
This is one of the roses he gave me that day.

It's a good thing he asked, 'cause I'm pretty sweet on him.

What Weekend?

Whoa. This weekend was so fun and I'm exhausted! We had a Friendsgiving Feast along with a Friendsgiving miracle! I'm sure this week is going to be just as crazy for you as it is for me! In my love of making checklists, lets indulge ourselves, shall we?

• Make checklist. Check.
  
• Write asinine paper for online class of death.
• Write letter to department concerning asinine peeps teaching asinine classes.
• Wait to mail letter until grades are posted.
  
• Write paper for substance abuse class.
• Finish project for group counseling class.
• Take the Rubester to the vet to check her stitches.
• Get some puppy Valium so Rubes will allow for said stitches to heal.
  
• Work!
• Let Shug use the computer...At least a little.
  
• Work out...the hallowed treadmill is here!
• Get thyself to a Thanksgiving Feast.
• Before feasting, make mashers.
• Have a girl's day with Shug's sisters.
• DO NOT SHOP.
